DESIGNING AN AUTOMATED LIGHTING SYSTEM: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE
OBJETIVO
The objective of this course is to present the concepts of lighting and home automation aiming at a theoretical and practical approach to carrying out an automated lighting project. It will approach the concepts for the elaboration of a lighting project, lighting types and effects, light sources and the topologies of automation systems.
It aims to bring a practical approach to handling the Neocontrol MINIBOX automation system starter kit .

• Lighting concepts for architectural lighting
• Requirements for lighting projects
• Light sources
• Traditional interrupt systems: single interrupt, treeway, fourway
• Intelligent interruption systems: scenes, interactivity and flexibility
• Automation systems and their installation topologies: systems wired, wireless, centralized and decentralized.
• The concept of scenarios and their differences from traditional electrical systems
• The Neocontrol MINIBOX automation platform: product overview and application for IOS
• Development of an automation project and specification with the MINIBOX system
• "Hands-on" Automation system configuration installation
METODOLOGIA
This Workshop intends to approach the requirements for the elaboration of automated lighting projects, with the handling of Neocontrol's MINIBOX control system.
In this course the student will participate in the practice of elaborating an automated lighting project, specification and configuration of the system and will take the MINIBOX starter-kit for later uses.

Lecturer and teacher of postgraduate courses in lighting. Director of EXPER Soluções Luminotécnicas, specialized in training, laboratory tests, projects and consultancy in energy efficiency and lighting.
