OBJETIVO
O curso apresenta detalhadamente aspectos da tecnologia LED, a qual vem revolucionando a iluminação, principalmente quanto aos aspectos de sustentabilidade, eficácia luminosa e durabilidade. Ressalta os benefícios, os mitos e tendências da tecnologia. Aborda os aspectos normativos e casos de sucesso através do descritivo de instalações feitas no Brasil.

CONTEÚDO PROGRAMÁTICO
• Introduction to the basic principles of light generation, comparison of lamps conventional with LEDs, technological revolutions.
• Aspects of LED technology, definitions, benefits and analysis of the most important parameters.
• Approach to projects, analyzed from the thermal, optical and electrical aspects.
• Clarification of various myths arising from lack of knowledge and unreliable information.
• Reliability and lifespan concepts.
• Update on international standards, energy saving programs in deployment, reliability and performance of solid state lighting systems.
• Presentation of case studies highlighting the implementation objectives and results obtained.
• What is the future of technology.
INMETRO SPECIAL PARTICIPATION:
• Regulation for LED lamps. Current stage of RTQ and RAC .
• Next steps for certification of LED lamps
METODOLOGIA
The course presents fundamental theoretical aspects for a good understanding of the subject. The case studies are important to emphasize that the technology is really able to support real projects. During the course we also have the presentation of practical material to help illustrate the content.
SPEAKER
VICENTE SCOPACASA
Electronic engineer with a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management. He has experience in semiconductors, having worked in companies in the sector for more than 35 years. He currently works as Sales Manager for Latin America at Philips Lumileds and as a professor in postgraduate courses in solid state lighting.

FABIO FERREIRA REAL
Mechanical Engineer graduated from FEG-UNESP, MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and from the University of Ohio-USA, Postgraduate in Safety Management Systems in Consumer Products from Pompeu Fabra University-Spain, Master in Engineering Mechanic by COPPE-UFRJ. Since 2010, he works at Inmetro in the Division of Technical Regulation and Conformity Assessment Programs of the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro), in the automotive, industrial areas and home appliances.
